OUR STORY
Manage Your Home started because of a number of personal scenarios that got us thinking about the disconnect between homeowners and home service providers & contractors.
OUR INSIGHTS
For twenty years the founders owned several home maintenance service companies and invested thousands of dollars marketing to customers to draw attention to our brand of product and services. Even though we had a long established brand name and a reputation for quality services, we still had to compete with competitors that spewed warm fuzzy industry platitudes (i.e. Satisfaction Guarantee etc.) but performed inferior work. To the consumer we were all part of the advertising 'noise' and essentially all the same. We spent much time and money trying to find new ads and messages to get our reputable services in front of our competitors.
On the other hand, we were also homeowners, and also recipients of much of the home repair and maintenance marketing and advertising bombardment. Having industry insights about many contractors, we knew the shortcomings of them and knew the 'real' truth about the claims many of these service providers were making about their particular services. Even when we sought to hire our own home service provider and researched deeper into these companies we discovered that third party reviews had contradictions and discrepancies in their information. We realized that finding a home service providers was time consuming, confusing and frustrating and that deciphering a good from a poor home service provider was challenging, even for us who were in that industry. We couldn't imagine how hard it would have been for a homeowner who did not have knowledge or insights as we did.
OUR REALIZATION
After much discernment, we realized that the single most trustworthy and reliable network for a homeowners to find a home service provider was through their family, friends or personal network. We experimented within that network and discovered that we were able to get honest feedback, rave reviews and cautionary tales for most of the home service providers we were seeking for our own personal home repairs, renovations and general maintenance services. We also realized that a bulk of the homeowners within our network had many home services 'to do' projects that went undone and maintenance tasks that had been forgotten/ neglected. In turn some of these manifested themselves into an unexpected and costly repair later on.
OUR DISCOVERY
In this moment, the concept of Manage Your Home was conceived. Many questions were pondered in the process:
THE BEGINNING
We came to the conclusion that we already had much of the home service industry experience and knowledge and that WE could be that ONE POINT OF CONTACT. We set out to bring together all the parts that would become Manage Your Home and relieve homeowners of the advertising noise & mix messages, uncertainty of home service providers and lack of knowledge about the home repairs and maintenance choices. Furthermore, we would save homeowners from many hours finding, vetting or chasing down "no shows" from home service providers or from falling behind on the upkeep of their home and property.
THE FUTURE
Manage Your Home envisions a SINGLE POINT of contact service to identify and manage a plan for maintenance, repairs and renovation projects for homeowners and create a community where members can share resources and information to serve to benefit each other.
As membership grows, more and more benefits will become available for homeowners simply by the sheer volume of information exchanged and strength in numbers. The home & property needs and wants of our members will be better served and give them a better option than going in along with independent home service providers or doing it themselves.
We are looking forward to being able to bring our members more and more home services for home and property, similar to what they already get now with other memberships for personal care and home products from the big box retail stores.

OUR DISCOVERY
In this moment, the concept of Manage Your Home was conceived. Many questions were pondered in the process:
- What if there was a way that homeowners could tap into many other peoples' networks, through a one point of contact, to find or share a good home service provider and eliminate the unknowns or the confusion?
- What if this one point of contact could also serve to help homeowners with their questions and concerns about their home repair, renovation and maintenance needs and provide them with honest answers and approximate costs?
- What if the homeowner could have a knowledgeable person that exclusively represented them, and not the home service provider, to managing all their home services on their behalf?
- What if a homeowner had an option not to have to deal directly with irresponsible home service providers on shortcomings of their quality or workmanship or warranty claims?
- What if the homeowner could tap into the benefits of a community of homeowners and received better pricing, better work guarantees and updates or recalls about new home services or products?
- And, what if the homeowner had an additional line of security in paying the home service provider and did not have to worry about overcharges, refunds or getting compensation after they had paid for a poor home service.
