If every home came with an operation manual, it would define all the annual maintenance that is required to run a home and care for a property.  Well the good news is that the Canadian Mortgage Housing Corporation (CMHC, a national housing agency), has outlined a seasonal home maintenance schedule for homeowners to help care for a house/ property much easier.
 
          Homeowners who annually maintain their home and property
          are more likely to save money in the long run, be less frustrated
          with breakdowns, enjoy their home better and increase their
          property's value.

However, life is busy so often the timely performance of these annual maintenance tasks and services never gets done. Our Home Tune Up program provides homeowners:
  • an annual Home Maintenance Plan of repairs/ replacements and seasonal maintenance required to keep the home and property in good condition
  • the ability to work within their budget and pre schedule appropriate home service providers to complete the work according to the Home Maintenance Plan
  • add or remove any repairs/ replacements and seasonal maintenance within the Home Maintenance Plan  
  • choice in selecting vetted and accredited service providers to complete special repairs and seasonal maintenance of the Home Maintenance Plan 
  • evaluate the Home Maintenance Plan to determine future needs

HOME MANAGER

​Let's face it, not every homeowner is alike.  Some are do-it-yourself types, others are have it done-for-you types while others fall in between.  Upgrading, repairing and improving a property is a lot of work and requires many of hours of time, specialized skills, proper tools and knowledge. 

         Having a good understanding of the home improvement industry
         and a strong network of reputable home service providers is essential
         if you want to be sure that the work is done properly, with quality
         materials and at a reasonable price

Our Home Experts help homeowners to identify, plan and budget home improvements needs and wants.  Our Home Experts use their industry knowledge and experience to help homeowners design their own Home Improvement Plan .  They advise homeowners on estimated costs for home improvement and repairs and suggest any critical recommendations.  Finally, the homeowner receives a complete Home Improvement Plan to hire and schedule their own repairs/ replacements and improvements or take on the tasks of doing it themselves.
HOME MANAGER +

​For those who are not Do-It-Yourself types and prefer to rely on the skills, tools and knowledge of vetted and bona fide home service providers, our Home Manager+ service offers the homeowner additional support for their Home Improvement and Home Maintenance Plan:
  • work with the homeowner to find , vet and select accredited home service providers for their Plan(s)
  • schedule and manage all the home service maintenance, repairs and improvements within their Plan(s) on behalf of the homeowner
  • annual review of Plan(s) to assess the benefits and/or shortfalls
  • post inspection of the home service provider to evaluate the quality of work 
  • liaison between the homeowner and home service provider to:
    1. ​​​​​facilitate compensation to home service provider
    2. troubleshoot and help to resolve any issue that may arise from the quality of the home service provider's work​
  • on site inspections during the delivery of the scheduled home improvements as requested

Got a renovation or larger repair in mind but unsure about all the steps such as planning, designing, costing, obtaining permits, hiring of skilled contractors, ordering materials and scheduling contractors to complete of the repair/renovation on time and within budget? 

          A good Home Renovation Plan requires a lead person to pull together
          all the designers, inspectors, skilled contractors and stay on budgets
          and schedules to ensure the project is done the RIGHT way with the
          RIGHT people  

Our Home Expert work with homeowners to advise on the Home Renovation Plan and then manage the project, communicate between contractors, oversee progress and budgets, handle conflict resolutions to the completion of the project.
HOME REGISTER

For those homeowners who choose to use any of the Home Maintenance and Home Improvement Programs (Plans), we offer the option to subscribe to our MY Home software.  This software application provides a tool for homeowners to digitally record and update their Plans.  It helps homeowners to better manage the many ongoing tasks, schedules, costs and communications of the Plans. 
When the work is completed, the MY Home software digitally captures and stores all the information associated with the homeowners completed maintenance, repairs and renovation projects.  It also provides a place for future access to the directory of the home service providers and their work details such as invoices, photos and any warranty info, requirements or deadlines.
The data and information collected in MY Home software can be used for future reference should the homeowner have more home services requirements, be seeking any warranty issues, require refinancing or decide to sell their home.
